Once I make up my mind on my major, what should I do?
To declare a major for the BSc degree in Health Sciences, you need to have Math 12 with at least 70% or its equivalent at the university level. If you do not have this requirement, you can still take 100 level Health Science courses while taking the Math requirement concurrently. Once you have fulfilled that requirement, you may visit our advisor to declare your major.
The BA in Health Sciences does not require the Math 12 for entry.
How do I declare a Health Sciences minor?
You can declare a minor in Health Sciences at any time. Just come and see the Health Sciences advisor to complete the paperwork.
How do I know what the requirements are for my major or minor?
Refer to the SFU Calendar or the Health Sciences website. It is your responsibility to know what is required. The Calendar is an excellent source of information. You should also keep in regular contact with your Faculty advisor about your progress and your choices.
