Want to make a difference?To help policy makers understand health issues? To work on environmental issues that affect a community's health? Provide data analysis and interpretation services for one of BC’s health authorities? Work as an administrator for a hospital? Seek further education in medicine, nursing, public health or global health? If so, the BA or BSc in Health Sciences is for you. Our Health Sciences degrees incorporate multidisciplinary approaches to the study of health, illness, and disease in human communities. The programs focus on the determinants of health, health promotion and disease prevention, health care systems, health policy and technology. Most students pursue a program that covers a wide range of health sciences topics. Some students decide to concentrate, in addition to their general courses, in one of the Faculty's areas of expertise, including:
