  • Goal: To enhance capacity in China to respond to the HIV/AIDS epidemic through developing the West China School of Public Health at Sichuan University as a Centre of Excellence in STI and HIV/AIDS-related training the planning and delivery of high quality educational programs. 
  • Impact: HIV/AIDS-related training programs developed at Sichuan University are nationally and internationally recognized, are replicated in other provinces in China, will mitigate the social and developmental impact of the emerging HIV/AIDS epidemic, and are aligned with China’s recently stated emphasis on HIV/AIDS prevention, care and support as top health priorities for the country.
  • Purpose: To support the development of the West China School of Public Health at Sichuan University as a Centre of Excellence in the design and delivery of comprehensive, high quality educational programs for students, health care providers and program managers in the area of HIV/AIDS.
