Biography:
Lawrence McCandless is a tenure-track assistant professor in the Faculty
of Health Sciences at SFU and an associate member of the Department of
Statistics and Actuarial Sciences. He completed a PhD in statistics in
2007 at the University of British Columbia and postdoctoral fellowship
in the Department of Epidemiology and Biostatistics, Imperial College
London.
Research Interests:
Dr. McCandless's research interests include epidemiology, meta-analysis
and Bayesian statistics. He holds a Discover Grant from NSERC
(2008-2013). Teaching Interests: Biostatistics, epidemiological methods, Bayesian statistics.
