I wanted the opportunity to study within a community that I would be able to make an impact in. I began studying in HSCI because I loved the way that the faculty approaches health from so many different perspectives. I admire its focus on health as an idea of wellness, and as something everyone should have the right to.
- Why did you choose to study at SFU/Faculty of Health Sciences?
I chose to study at SFU because I wanted the opportunity to study within a community that I would be able to make an impact in. I think my favorite course was HSCI 211 with Dr. Joffres, but his course on CAM has been a close second. - What advice would you give a student coming into the program?
Try to experience as many different types of HSCI courses before you begin to specialize and always take the opportunity to look at health from as many perspectives as possible. - What are your plans upon graduation?
Medical School with the possibility of specializing into fertility medicine or oncology.
